Jays 2013 Lineup

With the Cabrera signing, I'll be surprised if they do much else to their order. On opening day...what do you think their ideal lineup and order will look like?

Positionally, I have to think it would be...

C- JP
1B- Edwin
2B- Emilio
3B- Lawrie
SS- Reyes
LF- Cabrera
CF- Rasmus
RF- Bautista
DH- Lind

The order......no freaking idea.

1. Reyes
2. Melky
3. Bautista
4. Encanacion
5. Lawrie
6. Rasmus
7. Bonifacio
8. Arencibia
9. Whoever is DH'ing? Sierra?

I'm not sure about the #3 and #4 spots. I know that's where they liked to put em last year because of protection and all that. But the lineup right there to me is pretty ideal. Could probably swap Boni and JP.

Yeah I'd agree with this.

Odds are the top 6 will be something very similar to that if not that exactly IMO. I could see Lawrie and Rasmus swapping around potentially. Also the 7/8/9 spots are gonna be a toss-up...It wouldn't surprise me to see maybe the DH hit in the 7th spot and the catcher hit in the 8th spot (whether it be JPA or Buck, for power)....and then rounding the lineup off with a guy like Bonifacio who can maybe get on base and cause some havoc on the basepaths to turn the lineup over.

Exactly what I was thinking. Can you imagine Bonifacio then Reyes back to back every game. Jose would actually have some people on base for once....and hopefully none of them would try to steal home.

I'd LIKE to see Reyes, Boni, Melky, Bautista, E5, Lawrie. But I don't think the Jays will put Boni up that high.
