Giroux apparent Neck Injury
|
He'll be fine, just the standard bumps and bruises. I'm not worried about this myself.

Look at the bright side, he'll be ready by the time the CBA is resolved :p
|
Just read he's coming back home to be evaluated for a concussion...I'll try to find the blurp.

I knew this was going to be bad.... What a joke

I can't find the quote but I did find another that mentioned the word precautionary before the "C" word.
Edit: Found this in the rants section. Giroux is visiting Sidney Crosby's concussion doctor. On one hand, that's probably best for the player's health. On the other hand, erring on the side of caution would mean missing a lot of time and a lot of games. Uh, imaginary games, I guess… |
Don't fear the worst here. It's easy to fall off that cliff, but things appear to be minor.

I doubt the Giroux head-thing is anything major.
I've had two concussions in my life and both kept me in bed for a couple days while I cleared out the dizziness/fuzziness. Just to get up and walk to the bathroom made me nausious (sp?). If the worst concussions are worse than what I've had, then there's no way Giroux would've even tried to get on a plane to return to North America. He would have stayed in bed for much longer and returned when his head felt well enough to move around. That's sort of just speculation based on my own experience with concussions. |
I'm ussually a cup half-full type of guy, but Pierre Lebrun is reporting that Giroux has been getting "treatment" for the last three days in Atlanta. That doesn't sound minor.
