Callahan for Clowe
any sense to this? my Cally for his Clowe
stats-wise I have them fairly even for this year. obviously Clowe should improve on lasts years dismal performance and Cally could see similar numbers or as some have said a slight decline.... we score for EVERYTHING so it makes valuing guys tough. new scoring for Hits and BS this year. Clowe owner offered me Marchand first but I don't have him all that high this year, I wan going to counter for Clowe. thoughts? |
Callahan dominates this trade, not even close for me.
CALLAHAN GP: 76 G: 29 A: 25 P: 54 PPP: 17 SHP: 3 +/-: -8 PIM: 61 SOG: 235 HIT: 271 BLK: 88 CLOWE GP: 76 G: 17 A: 28 P: 45 PPP: 15 SHP: 0 +/-: -5 PIM: 97 SOG: 180 HIT: 109 BLK: 36 Only thing in Clowe's favor really is that Callahan has missed an extra 20 games over the past 3 years (33 missed to 13 for Clowe). If you go back 4 years, Callahan's only missed 10 games more than Clowe, so it's pretty close. They're both gritty dudes and will miss a handful of games most seasons. Callahan has the edge in P, SHP, SOG, HIT, BLK. And if your league counts PPG, he had 13 last year. He's an absolute stud if you count all stats. And he's 3 years younger than Clowe. |

Yeah Maya nailed it!
Only thing that I would add is depth charts as well... Clowe at best is kinda 5th maybe 6th on the Sharks depth charts. With Thornton, Pavelski, Marleau, Couture, and possibly Havlat ahead of him... Cally kinda only has Richards, Nash, Gabby... so there's probably a slight advantage to Cally over Clowe. |
No point in making this deal, keep Callahan.

Keep Callahan.

I'm a big fan of Clowe but the smart move is to keep Cally.
|
Callahan for me as well. I'm confused with the second part of your post though...if you have Marchand and are thinking of trading him for Clowe that's a move I would do.
