Projections for Luke Schenn?
With PHI having this many injuries at D what do you guys project for Luke Schenn? Will this situation allow him to get some PP minutes as well? I already like him for his peripherals and if he gets at least some more points he should be interesting.... Thanks!

If you draft or own Schenn, it is due to his peripherals, as he will never be a PP1 option in Philly.
In a good season if everything is going his way, and he's paired with a true #1 puck-moving defenceman, Schenn could push 40pts. |
Maybe get some PP2 time here and there. Overall expect him in the 30 point range.

He's a nice mult-catter but crappy in offense only leagues... He'll never be a good scorer.

Yeah he reminds me of a younger Robidas to be honest. Maybe 30-35 point upside, but he's a rock on D. Maybe a slightly more offensive Barrett Jackman...
He might see a bit of PP2 time, but not PP1. As long as you keep your expectations in check for points, he should be a good own peripherally. |

In your format, he's golden (led defencemen in hits last year). His offensive stats and +/- should improve slighly, playing on a better team. I see him posting a consistent 25-30 pts. I would also project 250 hits, 60 PIMS, 100 Shots. |

Thanks! I don't expect him to get PP1-time, either, but with his peripherals and 30 points there's enough to like. Would you prefer him even over Faulk (who is still an FA as well) in my kind of league?

Long-term = Faulk If you could afford to wait, Faulk should be the type of D that puts up points, and decent peripherals, because of the amount of ice time he's expected to log in the future. |
Projection - He will be retired in 3 years...
