pick 3 goalies
 

In a pool where goalies get 2 points for a win and four for a shutout. Any ideas which goalies this year will or should be near top. Last year Lundquist NY 112 pts quick la112 pts rinne nas 111, smith pho 111. Need to pick 3 goals and also need some good speculative advice as to who to choose....thanks sammy

You named the top ones right there. I know it's not very insightful but take a look at the goalie rankings because if I list 10 goalies, 8 or 9 of them will go to other teams.

I feel like the best way to answer this is to give you a strategy because youve already listed the elite tenders, and the ones right behind are just what you'd expect (Miller, Fleury, Ward, Rask etc). But every single person in your league is going to have that list. My strategy would be to try to get 2 top 10 goalies and then a third who has little or no threat to losing his starting job.

Actually I should of said the pool is not a draft but rather we must pick one player from each team and must have18 forwards, 9defenceman and 3 goalies so the goalie choice is basically open to whoever I want so it would be the top three goalies who would not have a forward on their.team

Hard to go against the top guys (Lundqvist, Quick, Rinne)....though depending on how gutsy you're feeling I wouldn't blame you for swapping in a guy with a high ceiling in W's like Fleury for Rinne.

Fleury is not an option. Crosby or Malkin have to be taken from Pit if you're only allowed 1 player per team.

Quick would be an easy goalie pick for me.

Lundy, Quick,

then Rinne/Fleury/Miller or Ward would be my 3rd.
