[Cage Match Tournament] THE FINAL - #1 Ryan Miller vs. #2 Carey Price

It's the final matchup everyone so your votes determine the champion of the inaugural Cage Match Goalie Tournament. Remember to vote based on a one-year league with Wins, Goals Against Average, Save Percentage and Shutouts as scoring categories.

I'm surprised that either of these guys made the finals quite frankly... if it were up to me, based on the scoring criteria it would probably be Rask and Fleury. Hell, I would take Bryzgalov over either of these two.

I find it ironic that the goalie playing for the WORST team in the entire Eastern Conference last year has made the finals and may very well win this thing.

I still maintain that these odd results boil down to the majority of the voters' lack of awareness / lack of caring with regards to the tournament criteria... flame on :)

Hey, me too and if you read the front page piece tomorrow I voice some of my concerns about Price but at the same time I think he's worthy as many in the final eight were very close so ultimately this should make for a good matchup.

Between the two, I voted for Price. He should have lost to both Rask and Fleury though (at the very least Fleury), so I'm not overly thrilled about the vote.

But since these are the two goalies left, it's Price by a solid margin. Neither goalie is going to tear up the wins column, although Miller should pick up 5 more wins or so. The ratios are going to be in Price's favor and that's where the difference is made up. There is also a lot more upside to choosing Price.

Miller is who I had ranked right after Lundqvist, Quick, and Rinne so this works out just fine for me.

Miller for me.

I agree here 100%. I dont think everyone was looking at the criteria when they voted. I am totally shocked that these two made it to the finals.
