Any Halo fanatics on these boards?
 

Just wondering if there are any Halo players on these boards that like to play it competitively (like more than just casual play for shits n giggles). I'm just curious to see if anyone is and if so, who.

I know people that are, but I never got into it.

I'd love to say something other than "I'm not a Halo guy", but that's all I've got.

I used to be one, but way back with Halo 3. It was all about the battle rifles!

I have some Halo screen savers on this laptop of mine, but that's as close as I get....sorry

I don't give two craps about the multiplayer in Halo, but I devour pretty much everything that has to do with the story. Novels, comic books, movies, anything.

I used to be amazing with Halo: Combat Evovled and was pretty good at Halo 2. Now I just don't have the time to become awesome at the games, but I'm still a fan. I'm looking forward to Halo 4 as I think the mixture of things going on in the Call of Duty games with Halo, but still keeping it feeling like Halo will be a ton of fun. So hopefully I'll get that game and get to at least have the shits n giggles as you put it.

Agreed, Halo 3 was way better than Reach. I used to only play MLG on Halo 3 (Not IN MLG...just the game type haha).

Was just wondering because Halo 4 is coming out soon as you all know and it is supposed to be more like Halo 3 which has me excited (return of the BR)...but I saw some gameplay and it looks a lot more mystical than Halo 3 was which kind of annoys me. I liked the maps back then like Narrows, The Pit, Construct, etc.

Anyways, if anyone on these boards likes to play Reach right now and plans on playing Halo 4 a lot send me a PM.

Used to get 12-16 of us (with 3-4 tvs setup) together 4-5 times a year and play Halo 3 quite a bit all in the same room. Was a lot of fun to yell and scream at each other and eat crap and just have a good time.

With XBox live (and whatever the Sony version is) now people sit by themselves in their basement and play I suppose. Just not the same.

Haha, we used to do that all the time in our res in first year...the internet there was too crappy to play against people online so we all went out and got huge ethernet cords that ran through the girls' bathroom lol.

Good ol' screen watching. Haha.

Hey screen watching was the only way I could even marginally keep up with some of the freak of nature Halo players!
