Who to keep?
 

After tying for the best record during the regular season I unfortunately bowed out in the semi's. We can keep 3 to 10 so I'm lookking for some help on who to keep for next year.


Mike Napoli, Allen Craig, Ben Zobrist, Ryan Zimmerman, Alexei Ramirez, Alex Gordon, B.J. Upton, Jay Bruce, Dexter Fowler, Mark Teixeira, Melky Cabrera, Yunel Escobar

Stephen Strasburg, Yovani Gallardo, Jason Vargas, Will Smith, Phil Hughes, Francisco Liriano, Daniel Hudson, Dan Straily, Ubaldo Jimenez

Frank Francisco, Vinnie Pestano, Vicente Padilla, Greg Holland, Wade Davis

I'm thinking Zobrist, Zimmerman, Upton, Bruce, Teixeira, Strasburg and Gallardo are locks so that's 7 out of 10.

Depending on how many teams & whether you are losing draft picks to keep the "up to 10", I'd think you have to give strong consideration to keeping Napoli (bad BA year, but is a decent C option) and Melky (you'd miss a few games of the end of that 50-game suspension, but overall good enough player to keep).

Not sure on the 10th.

Correct.

Fowler is beginning to round into form, the power will come. Whereas Zobrist is clearly in decline and moving past his prime.

I was a little surprised to see someone take fowler, i still do not see enough of it coming together, he is a toolsy player that just does not have the baseball IQ for the next step.

i would keep daniel hudson over fowler

Gordon and Fowler are interchangeable really, but a big fan of Fowler and think he has a chance to really breakout next year.
