Monster Roto PDF [38+ articles, 97 pages]
Ladies and gents, tonight is the night! (if you look hard enough, maybe you can find an early edition).
That said, here is the list of writers that have contributed to the guide - Dobber Sports writers/contributors : Tim Lucarelli, Steve Laidlaw, Anthony Lancione, Brandon Landry, Eric Daoust, Tim Graveline, Marty Kwiaton, Ryan Goddard Forum members : Pengwin7, austeane, big_dl, bondon, Bomm Bastic, First Round Pick, DerekReese, arctic_rogue, NoWayOut, axeman33, uofmehockey, Ross the Boss Palmer, gainerama, Big Ev, kevinsrangers, sixhands, TK12555 and AtlantaThrashersFan special mention to : Keith Veronese So when you get a chance, do take a look. Just another reason why this community is the best around! |
Love the new format of the Roto Top 100. A definite rival for Dobber's guide (though I'm sure Dobber would scoff at having so many pictures in the guide).
So far the articles have been amazing lots of opinions and facts to think about come draft day. Starting on the team analysis tomorrow! My favorite article so far is Pengwin's on drafting D late, but I may be slightly biased since it matches my personal philosophy. He uses a Hit BS league as an example but I would argue it holds in a standard league as well. Draft D for peripheral stats and take the 10-15 less points that a big name D provide. |
I've enjoyed reading a large portion of it. It's always a goldmine.

Its like reading a whole new Dobber guide with a variance of opinions on selected players from each team. Great read indeed.

Outstanding article! Kudos to all who helped create this fantasy gem.

I'm really impressed of the effort everyone has put in. It really is like a second guide. Well done!
I have one comment/suggestion though: For the team section - it's really good to see so many contributors. However I wonder if it's worth having a bit of consistency, especially focusing on the roto angle. Since this is a roto guide and not 'the' guide, perhaps for each team there should be core/template of sections/themes discussed from a roto perspective, and then a bit at the end for their own take/perspective generally. At the moment it's pretty random and sometimes they're talking about the team in general and then at the end I wonder: 'what about roto'? Thoughts? |
Great stuff all.
One question though is the a reason that I can not use the find function for the pdf? |
Thanks all, appreciate it.
Instead of a rival to Dobber's guide, think of it as the perfect companion piece. haha... While the look of the guide and the Top 100 style will stick, this will be a one off in terms of featuring 38 articles. Though judging by the positive reaction, it has definitely crossed my mind into making it a more frequently thing. HF valid point, and one that will be implemented in future collaborations. Due to this being the first one, I wanted to get everyone's feet wet. Now that this has been established, look for more consistency next time around. Mater, I don't know why to tell you the truth. I'll look more into it tonight. Editor's note : I have made some minor edits and removed a comment that came to me as a concern. Uploaded the fixed PDF. |
Very impressive work and great job organizing this guide, Gates.
All of the pieces are very well written and clearly get their point across. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done! :) |
It's an effin nice PDF.
I loved the team sections, amazing to have coverage directly there. The roto list is a lot cleaner now too... super solid. I enjoyed being a part of it - humbled by writing with this group, great write-ups. |
