Stash Billy Hamilton?

Hey guys. 10 team H2H. Currently tied in first place. Top 6 make playoffs.

Batting: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS
Pitching: W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB

My team:
C - Weiters
1B - Konerko
2B - Utley
3B - Aramis Ramirez
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Braun, Bruce, McCutchen
Util - Ellsbury, Dunn, Kipnis
BN - Pagan, Walker
DL - Ruiz

SP - Weaver, Price, Zimmerman, A. Sanchez, Hellickson, Medlen
RP - Hanrahan, Kimbrel, Papelbon, Clippard, Reed
DL - Street

Wondering if there's anyone on my roster I should consider dropping for Hamilton? Neil Walker has slowed down lately, and I just picked up Pagan, so I'm not really too adverse to dropping him - although he's been hot and contributes nicely to AVG and SB. I'm also considering dropping Kipnis... he had such a good start but has been absolutely terrible lately, and a lot of nights I just bench him.

I'm reading conflicting things, though. On the front page of this site, the article on prospects says he "will" be used almost every day as a pinch runner/hitter, but the Yahoo! blurb on him says that he's unlikely to join the Reds.

What should I do?

I probably wouldn't bother. First of all, we don't know if and when it will happen. Second, he's likely to only contribute in one or two categories, at most. And last but not least, it's usually easy to grab a guy just for a few stolen bases.

Another vote for no. As much as I like Hamilton's potential, he hasn't done a thing at the major league level. For all we know he could turn out as useless as Dee Gordon :P

I'd cut Kipnis some slack too. He's young and that first half was pretty remarkable. No way I'd be dropping him. He's in the top 3 or 5 at 2B I think.

He was initially going to be brought up when rosters expanded as a bench player for pinch running. Last I read, they were not even gonna bother. So no. Dee Gordon is in the same spot if available

Stash on a farm team/prospect roster? Sure!

Otherwise, no.
