Prospect Pool
I've brought this up last year, but besides a few guys, didn't really get much interest and with the lockout looming I thought it would be a great time to post about again.
In my main keeper league, we (not everyone in the league) have been doing a pool like this for a couple years now. Here is the concept. Each team has to fill out their roster with: CHL, and NCAA 3 Forwards 2 Defenders 1 Goalie ...And there will be one draft. For example, Nathan Mackinnon from the QMJHL will probably go first overall and Alex Galchenyuk from the OHL could potentially go 2nd overall. You can draft from whatever league you want as long as you fill out your roster properly Points only. 2 points for a win, an extra 3 for a shutout. If you think you know your prospects, this is the pool for you! Who wants to have some fun?? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...BSVEzcnc#gid=1 |
Oh, and in case there isn't a lockout, and you draft a player who does make the NHL (plays 10th game), you will be allowed to replace him with whoever went undrafted, but will lose the points he has gotten thus far.
Example. If you draft Grigorenko, and he ends up making Buffalo, you can replace him with a player that went undrafted. If that player has x points from when you picked him up....those x points will not count. The risk with drafting those types of players. |
Sounds like fun, if we get enough people I'm in.

It's a low maintenance pool.
No waivers, no ir moves, no subs, no nothing. Draft your best team, and hope for some luck. |
Any points adjustment for NCAA players?

I am down.

Count me in.
This sounds like it could be a lot of fun. |

So what are the rules then for drafting players from each league?? Do we need a certain amount of NCAA and CHL players??
