Billy Hamilton sets minor league SB record
 

Reds shortstop prospect Billy Hamilton made MiLB history Tuesday night for Double-A Pensacola. Hamilton, 21, stole his 146th base, breaking what was Vince Coleman's record for most stolen bases in a season set in 1983.

Wait, 146 in one season? How is that even possible?

Its pretty amazing, but the problem with Hamilton is he projects as a one category guy. He has hardly any power, but absolutely unreal speed.

It will be interesting to see if the Reds call him up for a playoff run, that'd be fun to watch.

An elite pinch-runner for sure.

Shoot, a guy like him should be able to bunt and get on base just about everytime.

But if he has 146 SB then he must at least be able to get on base at a decent rate? Or is he always put in pinch runner situations?

Very good hitter and has a pretty good approach at the plate, always plays full games at shortstop.

He has ZERO power.

Sounds too much like Emiliooooooooooooo..........I'm not sold. :)
