2012 - Top Keeper League C

Crosby, Stamkos, Sedin, Malkin, Backstrom, Giroux.... and?

What other four centers crack the list this time around?

1. Crosby
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
4. Giroux
5. Backstrom
6. Tavares
7. Kopitar
8. Getzlaf
9. Toews
10. E.Staal

That would be my list.

My guess for Angus' list:

1. Crosby
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
4. Giroux
5. H.Sedin
6. Tavares
7. Backstrom
8. Kopitar
9. Datsyuk
10. Getzlaf

Tavares could be as high as 5th in my books. I also think that Sedin has to be left on.

Kwazzie 06-17-2012 01:07 PM

1.Crosby
2.Malkin
3.Stamkos
4.Backstrom (too consistent already got 100 compared to those under him)
5.Giroux
6.Tavares
7.Kopitar
8.Sedin
9.Toews
10.Datsyuk

I'm gonna take a crack at this:

Crosby
Malkin
Stamkos
Giroux
Tavares
Sedin
Toews
Backstrom
Kopitar
.... and my wild card! Logan Couture

I based this list on point potential as well as the teams they're on. I also took into account age, which is why Sedin is a little lower than he normally would be. Backstrom is a case of that team not being the offensive juggernaut it used to be. Not based on his skill necessarily.

I threw in Couture as he's been steadily rising and I think he could surprise people next season.

Kopitar and of course Mr. Toews ;) Datsyuk & Tavares

I'm on your page.

1. Crosby*
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
4. Tavares
5. Giroux
...
6. E.Staal
7. Toews
8. N.Backstrom
9. H.Sedin
10. Kopitar

Notes:
-I have Crosby at #1... because I feel that is a smart risk for most fantasy hockey GMs. Personally, I'd draft Stamkos first... because I have confidence I can still build a winning support cast against a healthy Team-Crosby. It's kind of hard argument to explain. In short, a healthy Crosby can win a team a championship even with a shit support cast on the fantasy team.

-I know I'm in the minority, but I like Tavares over Giroux. Not kidding. If I had Giroux in a keeper multi-cat, I'd trade him straight-up for Tavares, and I'm a Flyers fan. (yes, true)

-E.Staal & Toews are next in line for me. Their ceiling is 90pts and they'll never go higher, but they are great locks for stats per game.

-H.Sedin really isn't THAT great a multi-cat center, by numbers. However, he lacks in SOG/PIM/Hits... and the perfect compliment can be found fairly easily out there, David Clarkson (for example), so Hank has still top ten value.

I like Tavares over Giroux as well.

I agree re: Staal. Consistency is important and often underrated.

Which is why I like Sedin. He is money in the bank for 60+ assists. Can't find that guaranteed production elsewhere. And you can easily hedge other categories, as you said above.

...too much agreement lately.
This isn't right. ;)
